Cloudy, warmer. I went by the Wilmington and Reading Road to Wilmington this morning. Took lunch with Mrs Kershaw. Arrived home at 6:30 P.M. 87 cents round trip from Lenape. Ticket good for 10 days. Single Ticket 48 cents. Found Kershaws in rather bad shape. Charles just recovering from an attack of Appendicitis, but so far has escaped an opperation. Harrys wife and her babe were brought home today from the Hospital. She seems weak, and nervous, but they hope she will be well soon. Sue Hickens seems very discontented with her daughter, has given up her home since Mr Hickens death, and is now with Clara. It is a little hard on one to have to make a change at her age, nearing Eighty. Harry gone to West Chester to night. Since I got home, it has commenced raining.
Very informative description of the route our Lady took to get to Wilmington.
