A hanging...
Tuesday January 27, 1914
Very foggy all day. Margaret ironed. I cooked the dinner, had Guinea pot pie. Harry busy in the Mill. Not much to record, a dreary day. Harry gone to West Chester to night, was to busy to go last night. A colored man named Potts was hanged to day in West Chester for shooting his wife a year ago in Coatesville. The last hanging, I presume, in Chester County as all Executions will be by Electricitie.
[I have tried, but I just cannot find any information on the Mr Potts who was hanged]
[I guess we can safely say that the Guinea that Annie Frank brought was a bird, lol]
