Overcast. Wind N.W. not so cold. 14 above zero this morning. We churned 10 lb of butter. I sewing afternoon, repairing the wash. W(?) Harry cutting and hauling Ice from our barn. I sent 9 lb of Butter to Osbornes. I hear that Dora Greenfield has come home sick with Lagrippe. Harry gone to West Chester to night for groceries, and I decided to go with him and spend an hour at the "Idle Hour" Theater. I came home at 9:30. Harry at 10:30. Very close to night threatens rain.
Definition of Lagrippe, or more commonly, the grippe.
